Banjara Retreat at Shoja:
Banjara Retreat Shoja: An experience that's sure to refresh
and revitalize you, Shoja is a little villages 5 kms from
the Jalori Pass that links the Shimla and Kulu Districts.
The Retreat is a solid cendor wood house surrounded by thickly
wooded forests from which you get a panoramic view of the
snow covered Himalayan ranges in the distance. Large, fully
furnished, fully furnished comfortable rooms with attached
bathrooms are available and the kitchen offers you a variety
of treats including freshly baked bread and caker! While the
drive to the retreat is a pleasure in itself, the numerous
walks and treks in the surrounding forests and meadows are
a special feature of the area. Some of the most spectacular
treks are:
Serolsar Lake
- 5 kms from the Jalori Pass at a height of 3223m, the
walk is through a thick oak forest.
Raghupur Fort
- A 6 kms walk from the Retreat. Ideally done early in the
morning.
Trithan Valley:
About 30 kms from Shoja. The Tirthan river which flows
through the valley is great from trout fishing. A truly breathtaking
trek for the daring.
